Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the record label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the media. Half the World Away - by Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two of the most notable covers she has recorded. Her name was also recognized through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano that was in her basement and being fascinated at the sound it produced. Parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a career or hobby but as a way to develop. The singer began to write lyrics of her own. In addition to Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mother said that the songs she composed could be used to not make her famous however, but to encourage people to see their own value and impact to our world at large, she started playing them on stage. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started writing songs at the age of nine. The family did not be aware of this until she was 14. Aurora never dreamed of being a famous singer. Her only passion is writing music. Music to her is the best method to experience anything.
